Trip to the European Parliament

At the end of last year St. Aidan's C.B.S. won a Schools Competition run by EUROSCOLA whereby our school was asked to design a poster themed around European cities in 1916 (the winning entry was from Rodrigo Soberon Pena in 5th Year).

EUROSCALA is a European Parliament programme that gives young people the opportunity to discuss their expectations and ideas on the progress of European integration and to share this day with young people from other European Union countries.

The prize was a subsidised trip to Strasbourg to represent Ireland at Euroscola on Thurdsay 30th of March 2017.

The twenty four TY/5th year students and their teachers Ms. K Morris, Ms. D Mc Quaid and Mr. A O Neill went for two days and three nights. They took in the sights of Strasbourg as well as attending the European Parliament for a full day of events along with schools from 21 other European Union countries. It was a terrific experience for the students and their teachers.
