Dublin City Enterprise Winners

Congratulations to the group of TY students Rodrigo Soberon Pena, Kian Auguste, Aaron Dowling, Sean Memery, Leon Murray, Neil Hoey,  Jack Molloy and their teacher Mr. N Sheridan who took part in the Dublin City Enterprise Board Mini Company competition on the 15th March in Dublin Castle and won for their Vinyl Irelands No1 Art.

Rodrigo’s Angel Pin

Rodrigo won the regional competition of the Irish Wheelchair Association Angel Pin competition. He represented Dublin at the National awards in Athlone on the 14th March 2016. Rodrigo's pin entitled Rocket Man will be used in the National Irish Wheelchair fundraising campaign this coming November..

Winning Makes You Smile

Adam Capper looking very happy after winning tickets to an Ireland friendly match.  Adam’s name was entered in a draw after opening a Bank Of Ireland account in the school with the transition years  Build a Bank.

Comóradh na Cásca Scoil Aodháin

St. Aidan’s marked the Commemoration of the Proclamation by gathering   the entire school and staff together outside the front of the school on the 15th March 2016. First thing to take place was the flagbearer’s  procession . They walked out with great pride accompanied by the music of “ Mise Eire” by Seán O Riada and played by our terrific brass band. Brother Heffernan opened with the Easter Blessing. The other speakers on the day were  Jack Nolan, Michael Cullen, Keelin Lu, Darren Kitching, Ms. H Thompson and Ms. Z Kennedy.  The students on the day marked the occasion with great respect and all the speakers spoke with such passion making the commemoration a great success. Well done to all involved! 

1916 Library Readings.

The English Department hosted “1916 Readings” in the library on Thursday 10th March. It was mainly 1st years involved and great to see the interest the students have in the 1916 history and commemorations.
