In the early hours of the morning Leaving Certificate Applied students and three teachers cruised high into the sky on a return day-trip to Paris.
It was a whistle stop tour of all the main sights, they saw the Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur in Montmartre and went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. On seeing the Mona Lisa, they studied her for a few minutes and questioned what all the fuss was about as they did not even think she was that good looking. So there you go, Leonardo under scrutiny from the LCA art critic team.
The highlight of the day for one student was sitting in front of the ‘Sacre Coeur Basilica’, the sun shining and looking out at the sea of people with the city of Paris in the background.
A big thanks to their Year head, Mr Brown for all the organising, Mr J O’Neill for all the help with fundraising and to Ms Nash for using her fluent French to navigate the group around the city of Paris. A day together they will never forget.
