We are delighted to announce that our Green-Schools Committee has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag for Global Citizenship and Energy—a remarkable achievement that reflects two years of dedicated work and innovation.

The committee, made up of enthusiastic students from multiple year groups and led by the committed guidance of Mr. Moore and Ms. Crossan, worked tirelessly to promote sustainability and environmental awareness across the school community.

Among their many accomplishments was the implementation of a bottle return scheme, which not only encouraged recycling but also raised funds for the school’s upcoming Immersion trip. The group was also instrumental in the acquisition and installation of the school’s new 6kW solar panels, a project that will have a lasting positive impact on both our carbon footprint and our energy bills.

As we celebrate this success, we also take a moment to say a heartfelt goodbye and thank you to our 6th Year members, Chairman Gleb and Vice Chairman Albin, whose leadership and commitment were vital to the group’s achievements.

Pictured are our two youngest members, Daniel Tolster and Jamie Monk, proudly accepting the Green Flag on behalf of the school—a symbolic passing of the torch to the next generation of eco-leaders.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this inspiring journey. Your work is not only helping the environment but also empowering our school community to be more responsible global citizens.
