Our senior basketball team continued their great success at the start of this year with a terrific win 92:74 against Dunshaughlin CS. This qualified them for the All-Ireland league A quarter finals against Gaelcolaiste Mhuire AG. Another success followed here and they then played the winners from group 4 to reach the final.
It was a huge achievement to reach an All-Ireland final, and showed the great talent and dedication within the squad. Their brilliant preparation for the match paid off, they played so well in the final but unfortunately, it wasn’t their day and they narrowly lost out.
Well done to the Senior Basketball Team on reaching the All-Ireland League Final, and doing the school proud. We would also like to congratulate Colaiste Éanna on their win and to acknowledge all the support from Basketball Ireland on a great event. Well done also to the team’s coaches, Ms Melbourne and Ms Commane for their great training and support as well as all the supporters who came from the school on the day.
