Our school organized an unforgettable trip to Barcelona and PortAventura. We started our adventure in Barcelona, where we explored famous landmarks like the Sagrada Família, Camp Nou, the CosmoCaixa Museum, and the bustling streets of Las Ramblas. The city's rich history, stunning architecture, and lively atmosphere made every moment exciting. After three days of sightseeing and enjoying delicious Spanish food, we headed to PortAventura, one of Europe’s best theme parks. The roller coasters were thrilling, especially Shambhala and Dragon Khan, and we all had a blast enjoying the rides and shows. It was a perfect mix of culture and fun that we’ll remember for years to come.
We went on the 14th of April during the first week of the Easter Holidays. There were two separate flights. One on Ryanair and one on Aer Lingus. We got in really late and had to be up early the next day. The first day we went to Barcelona's current stadium on a bus tour around the city. We went past the ports and finished in the city centre. We then walked up to La Sagrada Familla and went around the area. After that, we went to a museum for an hour. Then we went back to the hotel and had dinner.
The next day we toured Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey. We got up and down in cable cars. The view was amazing and one of the best we had ever seen. Afterwards we saw the Camp Nou and the museum about Barcelona F.C. That evening we went to the beach and that was the highlight of the trip. During the other evenings we spend time in the games rooms as well. On the last day we went to Port Aventura. There were really long queues for the rides but they were really good. Loads of people couldn’t get on rides so it was pretty disappointing. Then we went bowling in an arcade. We went back to the hotel and packed in preparation for the flight in the morning. Our flight was a little bit delayed but we managed to get home okay. Overall it was a really good experience and we would definitely love to go again.
