Heartiest congratulations to our boys that competed in the World Schools Cross Country Finals in front of Kenyan President, William Ruto, on May 12th. What an achievement to compete in the International School Sport Federation 'World Secondary Schools Cross Country Championship'.

Our eight athletes: Tom Breslin, Rory Quill, Melvin Binoy, Alister Anith, Tadgh O'Brien, Devan Morrissey, Jack McDonnell and Seán Henry travelled to Nairobi, Kenya with their coaches, Mr. O'Neill, Mr Gleeson, teachers Ms. Askins and Ms. Donohoe to represent Ireland and St. Aidan's.

Our athletes placed an incredible 8th on the day of the race and the team was led home by Tom Breslin (41st), followed by Devan Morrisey (84), Jack McDonnell (87), Tadhg O'Brien (97) and Alister Anith (101).

What an amazing and wonderful achievement after all the training and commitment. Special memories are made of experiences like this that will stay in their hearts forever. The school community is so proud of their achievements.
